Banks in India must always keep their capital-to-risk assets ratio (CRAR) at or above 9% in accordance with regulations set by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Indian banks’ CRAR and CET1 ratios were 16% and 13% as of September 30th, according to the most recent RBI data that was provided in December.
