For years, Reddit’s Data API served as a training ground for AI language models, collecting a trove of human-to-human conversations dating back 18 years. However, in an interview with The New York Times, Reddit founder Steve Huffman announced that they would be restricting access to this valuable resource. This decision puts an end to unlimited access by academics, researchers and companies looking to train AI models.
